Description

Thyratron MTH-90 (MTX-90) glow discharge with a cold cathode and gas filling in a glass shell.
Designed to convert low power electrical signals and to work as an ionic relay.
Used in various general purpose radio devices.

Indicator thyratrons are a special class of glow discharge thyratrons. Their purpose is not so much switching electrical circuits as indicating. Unlike simple neon lamps, they are capable of being controlled by reduced voltages and also remembering their state, thereby relieving the computer system that controls them to perform other tasks. Some indicator thyratrons are coated with a phosphor and produce colors other than orange-red.

Indirectly heated oxide cathode.
Works in any position.
Wire output socket with 3 terminals.The cylinder is filled with neon.

• between anode and cathode less than 65 V
• between grid and cathode 85 V

Grid current of discharge occurrence:

• at Ua=150 V, more than 2 µA
• at Ua=120 V, 8-40 µA
• at Ua=85 V, less than 100 µA

Anode current:

• in relay mode (amplitude) less than 35 mA
• in relay mode (average) less than 7 mA
• in trigger mode (amplitude) less than 4 mA
• in trigger mode (average) less than 2 mA
• Input signal amplitude 1.5 V – 15 V
