Russian electron tube 6N2P (6H2П rus.) miniature double triode with separate indirect-glow cathodes and high gain. Designed to amplify low frequency voltage. It is used in pre-amplification cascades on resistances.
The cathode is an oxide of indirect incandescence.
The 6N2P can be a replacement for 12AX7 and ECC83 tubes. Key differences:
1. Heater: requires 6.3V versus 12.6V (12AX7/ECC83).
2. Current: consumes ~ 340mA versus 300mA (12AX7).
3. Different connection scheme.
AT THE SAME TIME, it has a similar gain (~97.5), a cleaner sound with extended highs, tighter bass, and less noise/microphony.
