The 6N2P-ER (6H2П-EP rus.) tube are a replacement for 12AX7 in any typical amp application, but they have 6.3V heater voltage and would need a different wiring than stock 12AX7’s. Designed to amplify low frequency voltage. It is used in pre-amplification cascades on resistances.
The 6N2P-EP can be a replacement for 12AX7 and ECC83 tubes. Key differences:
1. Heater: requires 6.3V versus 12.6V (12AX7/ECC83).
2. Current: consumes ~ 340mA versus 300mA (12AX7).
3. Different connection scheme.
AT THE SAME TIME, it has a similar gain (~97.5), a cleaner sound with extended highs, tighter bass, and less noise/microphony.
