Deciphering the marking of a pulsed thyratron: TGI1-1000/25
TGI – gas-filled thyratron designed to operate in a pulsed mode;
1 – the number of the serial number of the development of the pulsed thyratron;
1000 – a number indicating the maximum amplitude of the anode current pulse in amperes (A);
25 – is the number corresponding to the highest voltage amplitude in kilovolts (kV).
Technical specifications:
- Glow current: 18 – 22A
- Hydrogen generator filament current: 1.35A
- Anode current: (pulse amplitude) no more than 1000A
- Anode current: (average value) no more than 1A
- Intermittent ignition instability: no more than 0.005μs
- Voltage drop between the anode and cathode in a pulse: is not more than 150V
- Filament voltage: 6.0 – 6.6V
- Anode voltage direct: 5 – 25kV
- Anode voltage reverse: 1.3 – 5kV
Durability: not less than 750h.
