SBM-20

Description

The SBM-20 Geiger-Muller counter is designed to detect hard beta and gamma radiation in radio engineering devices.

It is used in the field of radiation monitoring, icing and smoke detectors, as well as in flaw detection.

SBM-20 is equivalent to SBM-20-1, STS-5, SI22G

Technical specifications:

• Sensitivity: from 60 imp/µR to 75 imp/µR
• Sensitivity spread: no more than ±20%
• Range of registered powers of exponential doses of gamma radiation: 0.004 μR/s to 40 μR/s
• Gamma quanta: from 0.05 MeV to 3 MeV
• Beta particles: not less than 0.3 MeV
• Length of the plateau of the counting characteristic is at least: 100 V
• Counting start voltage is from: 260 – 320 V
